Sejarah Kalimantan Barat-Republik Lan Fang


Sebagai sebuah daerah yang kaya dengan keaneka-ragaman masyarakatnya, Kalimantan Barat ternyata memang menyimpan sebuah sejarah yang jarang diketahui bahkan oleh penduduk Kalbar sendiri. Sejarah ini adalah adanya Kongsi dagang Tionghoa yang pernah didirikan di Kalbar bernama Lan Fang. Kongsi dagang ini walaupun hanya sebatas wadah bagi penduduk Tionghoa di Kalbar yang berkerja di pertambangan sempat ikut berjuang melawan pihak Belanda. Diyakini Lan Fang yang berbentuk Republik ini adalah bentuk republik yang pertama di dunia mendahului Amerika Serikat.
